Trudeau clearly made some serious errors during his tenure, but every governing coalition reaches and end at some point and the Canada Child Benefit is going to be an enduring legacy he can be proud of.

This is pretty thin gruel in light of Nork GDP growth, naked authoritarianism (eg debanking the truckers), the absolute failure of “1 billion Canadians,” de facto loss of sovereignty, and overall Sorosis. Canada ultimately may not survive Trudeau’s tenure.
There’s a number positive policies and we’ll see how they endure but the voting reform betrayal broke our hearts 💔
Not all founders are meant to be CEOs, and that's okay. Take Pieter Levels. Despite shipping multiple successful products, he never raised funding. Why? Because the pressure to scale never appealed to him. And while many of his friends took the VC route, many now wish they’d

He was a perfectly acceptable, if somewhat uninspiring Prime Minister until the Covid aftermath. Has been a disaster since then, though like all PM's he was a bit screwed because Canadians don't realise just how important provincial policy is compared to federal.
Legalized pot / 1 of only 2 countries in the G7 to retain a AAA credit rating / passed dental and pharma care / $10/day daycare / carbon tax / got a much needed pipeline built despite many hurdles including massive opposition from his base / increased the capital gains tax, etc.

In honor of Trudeau's resignation, I thought I'd post a graph showing complete failure on one of Canada's biggest issues.

i don't understand how simply deficit spending a cash transfer is something a political leader can be proud of. like there isn't anything to it other than that.
His Cannabis legalization was also genuinely well done, possibly the best in the world, to the point basically none of the Conservatives who originally opposed it wanted to take it back even within a few years of it passing.
You mean a welfare policy that the country can’t even afford? That’s all you can come up with? Even just admitting that there were “serious errors” is an understatement. His tenure has been an unmitigated disaster for the country.
Yes, and these children will grow up to be priced out of housing in Canada. Now, please explicate for us Trudeau's errors. Did he read "One Billion Americans"?
Do you really think any government policies like this matter at all or have any meaningful impact? $600/month?
Canada Child Benefit is good for parents with child/children, but not good for someone who has to pay for that through their taxes.

What were his serious errors? He seems to be a victim of the world-wide inflation hitting incumbent governments across the world...
He was awful for Canadians. He doubled their federal debt. His immigration policies were awful. He expanded an already evil MAID program to include non-terminal conditions. He’s corrupt. He’s vain.
