texting every man I know “hey what’s going on with the stock market?” as a little treat for them
Except that the Nikkei 225 hasn't recovered all of the historic losses from yesterday at all; look at the time window in the tweet. It's up moderately, which is encouraging; but still way down from before the drop started. (And btw the ATH is at 42,426.77 -- now at ~34,600...)
It's a bounce. Hope springs eternal and markets always (or usually) do that. The question is - where is the trend?
Well, not entirely, but the reaction surely was over the top, people calling for the Fed to do an emergency rate cut of 50 bps are crazy

Why is my twitter feed full of people posting that there’s blood in the streets? Both major US indexes are still up ~10% for the year…wtf were you degenerates holding?
Democrats are one of the most electorally successful modern center-left parties in the world. They have their share of blind spots, but if they pick Shapiro, it will, rightly or wrongly, be almost entirely driven by an intense desire to win

OBVIOUSLY it’s going to be shapiro—walz might actually help them win the purpose of the democratic party is to be out of power & extort billions from american liberals by promising all the life-changing, life-saving things they’ll do if you donate enough to put them in power
Joe Biden has the chance to do the funniest picket line solidarity walk of all time.
