Global interconnectedness and globalism has its discontents for (sometimes) good reasons and it's not as rosy a picture as the Neolibs like to paint it, but it has coincided with a period of human history where we've possessed the ability to destroy ourselves and not done that.

fwiw from what i understand it's already been annoying to be chinese + studying aerospace in america at the same time i suspect there aren't very many chinese students studying gender studies at ucb
