Could we make it cheaper? Sure. But not without compromising on the things that matter. Thoughtful design. Quality materials. Cookware made without PTFE, PFOA, or PFAS.

On that note too, the testing on Nuclear fuel casks is cool too. Those things are ludicrously durable.
Indeed, one of the many nuclear plants I consulted for being built. Not sure of when it was added, but inside there’s a multi-layered missile shield they can close over the reactor too.
If you deep dive the research they very carefully say by omission that strong dense components like e.g. the landing gear have more then enough energy to penetrate all the way to the core
