That’s arguable. I’m not sure exactly how those 2023 UN numbers are derived, but this study found that the 2023 numbers are still lower than 2019.

Is it possible to estimate how much of this bump is a "COVID rebound" (the least healthy individuals in each age cohort were disproportionately likely to die, leaving a healthier cohort behind)?
to what degree is this merely an artifact of COVID and bounceback due to how life expectancy is calculated, though? that can't explain *all* of it, since life expectancy started decreasing in 2015, but surely it explains some of it, right?
Some states are even above where they were in 2019

Over the years people have been living much longer lives. The nationwide Life Expectancy has improved by nearly 14 years since 1941. However, some states have been improving faster than others. Arizona has improved by 20 years while West Virginia is lower now than it was in 1990!

I think it won’t be long before the USA has a higher life expectancy than anywhere else. Just considering how much better living standard are over there than anywhere else.
We probably have more African and other 3rd world populations compared to most developed countries
Context as to what was that about?? Drugs/opioid deaths that have now burned through the most susceptible population??
It's not actually lower if you make America's demographics look like any of those other developed countries you're comparing them to.
Does this include all of the gang deaths? I've heard that I'd you exclude them, our life expectancy skyrockets to being similar to other nations. Now if only the FDA would do their jobs and help us remove toxins from our food and get rid of the food pyramid scheme.
