Good point with respect to Russia not being on the position of strength to have responded in Syria or to be able to shape the Israel Iran outcome due to their commitment in Ukraine and the ongoing losses they are dealing with there.

The deal iran and russia signed did not include any security/military support. Thats why russia haven't got involved. But let's not let facts get in the way of a good story.
The hegemonic position of the United States does not rest on the gains and losses of a non-EU country, nor does Russia have the ability to challenge the position of the United States.
You mean Ukraine is the ultimate sacrifice - when everything you described is being paid for with dead Ukrainians, mutilated children, cities razed to the ground. While the West buys itself time to rearm at that same bloody cost and keeps funding russia's war machine. Right?
