Relative to trend US obesity is down about 7 percentage points (~20%) among graduates (the group most likely to be using GLP-1 agonists like Ozempic). Incredible stuff. We may have passed peak obesity: ft.com/content/21bd0b

They also just announced a new initiative to study GLP-1 agonists in normal BMI populations, hoping to broaden the base and reduce heart disease and the catalog of things that seem to improve under treatment. Great news.

Whenever I see a line graph with an inexplicable arrow at the end I think "John Burn-Murdoch again?" and... yep John Burn-Murdoch again. Whats with those stupid arrows?
I am excited to see what disease caused by these GLP1s will replace obesity!!! Glad we can have so many sacrifice themselves in the name of science!!
