(2) I really believe, in my bones, that Susan Collins is an immortal who cannot be defeated by a man of woman born

Troy Jackson not being a man of woman born would actually not be surprising and also a nice third act revelation.

Collins overperformed her polling by massive margins the last 3 cycles
half the average of those is enough for her to swing it
Collins' win margin has been on a consistently declining trajectory. She did well but it's very likely over for her this time.
collins says shes pro choice then votes for gorsuch and kavanaugh and acts shocked when they overturn roe, backed other bills to codify it but voted against whpa, its just a mess of a record
The popular liberal Republican governor is of vermont is in a close race. That tells me New England democrats are finally saying enough.
Not commenting on that race or any other current race in general but I think polling in the modern era is very broken. Too much of a bias in who actually responds to the polls.
