NEW: ICE data released under the Freedom of Information Act reveals that more than half of all ICE arrests are now people with no criminal record; no prior convictions or pending charges.
In the first week of August, 55% of all ICE arrests were of people with no criminal record.

ICE repeatedly claims 70% of people it arrests have a prior criminal record. This is false; it hasn't been true since May 2025.
During the Minneapolis raids, that number fell to 53%. Now it's fallen below 50%. The MAJORITY of ICE arrests are now people with no criminal record.
My goal is to educate; to help people understand what we are talking about.
Most Americans (contrary to the bubble on this app) don’t think ICE should be focusing on people without papers who’ve been working hard, raising families, and not getting into trouble with the cops.
Is it fair to say that for all those young men from crime ridden countries who chose not to go through the vetting process of applying for visas, and instead crossed the southern border without inspection, we have no idea what their criminal history is in their home countries?
It is not fair to say that, no. ICE has access to a ton of data-sharing from many different countries (admittedly not every one), and so it can usually tell who has a criminal record in other countries. Those records would be included in the data.
But you don’t have to comitt a crime in order to have broken immigration law. ICE enforces immigration law, it is natural that many of the targets are not criminal. I cannot see your point. Maybe you are surprised that since ICE has been arresting so many people, half of the
The Trump administration isn’t playing by the rules! Don’t they know that these people reached home base? They’re safe, can’t be tagged out! Everyone knows this!
The idea that lack of a criminal record means you can violate immigration law is insane.
If a person without a criminal record murdered someone, we wouldn’t use their lack of a criminal record as a reason to not arrest them.
Why are you so fixated on people's arrests with or without criminal records? ICE is enforcing immigration law, and immigration law does not prioritize arrests based on the presence or absence of a criminal record.
What do we know about the stats re: arrests and detentions of those under judicial deportation/removal orders? Do those apply to non-criminal cases?
They break the law by being here illegally. Every one of them is by definition a criminal. Your mental gymnastics are beyond stupid.
They are lying, they are deporting color of people due to the great replacement theory. They are even cancelling the green cards and importing more people from white nations
The only way most of these people can even exist in this country illegally is through a life of crime. Record or not, they are more than likely criminals. Get them all out.
But 45% were and we say do more. Democrats, try as that might aren’t slowing down the governments efforts, they’re accelerating. All you are doing is proving time and again how foolish and un American you are. Keep talking…
Quotas always require numbers, not targets, so they go for the easiest option, like those going to immigration court: because they're doing it the right way, but they're fish in a barrel.
Because entering the country illegally is a “civil”, not “criminal” offense.
But, they’re still here illegally.
That's not a bad thing. It would be great to deport all the criminals, and hopefully we will before the end of Trump's term. In the meantime we still have over 25 million illegals to work through. Most don't have a criminal record but we still need to deport them.
Crossing the border illegally is a crime. Therefore they are all criminals, stop pushing this bullshit propaganda. Deport them all.
It's not all about criminals. It's about the fact that illegals are a huge drain on our educational, medical and legal systems not to mention welfare, SNAP, etc. They all need to go home.
Because never was it about any supposed “worst of the worst.” It was about getting rid of non-Whites. Who are Miller’s and DJT’s definition of worst.
I think the Trump admin made a big mistake going after law-abiding immigrants who've been in the country for decades, pay taxes, contribute to their communities, etc. They should've focused solely on criminal illegal aliens, IMO. Then go on a case by case basis for everyone else.
If they deport racially, we will also reject their American coming to home country and their military presence in regions
