Europeans literally believe that air conditioning doesn't work. their sincerely held belief is that air conditioning is actually a fraud that just creates endlessly more need for air conditioning to deal with the heat it moves outside your house, rendering net cooling impossible.

They believe this because of environmentalists, who are always and everywhere equal parts evil and stupid.
They also think it makes you sick

Let's continue with the AC madness :-)
The main source of confusion in this debate is that when Americans talk about AC, they mean a distributed cooling system (HVAC), which is generally less aggressive.
AC installed in Europe is often based on a single unit that blows in a x.com/LudovicoZanett…

for people that constantly harp on how worldly and knowledgeable they are, europeans are impossibly provincial and ignorant. what do they think happens in the middle east?
It’s amazing how much European discourse is just them pretending not to understand things, thus making discourse impossible

Energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only change.
Heat is a form of energy. There is only heat and the absence of heat.
If I move heat outside, there is an absence of heat inside; or as you would experience it, cold.
For everyone that actually has one and knows it works, this whole thing must sound so stupid.
inside house small outside house big. youd think they would get that with their square footage

Calling in false CPS investigations of politicians you oppose is not far short of shooting at them as a form of political violence.

Some things about our child protection regime strike me as impossible to square with the Bill of Rights. How can the government possibly be able to tell someone he can't be alone with his kids based on anonymous double hearsay, even temporarily? petebuttigieg.substack.com/p/a-terrible-t
The principle problem with the actions of DOGE was that they were unlawful.
The thing that significantly improves my estimate of Pangram's effectiveness is that you can usually run it against pre-AI publications from the same author or organization and it seems to consistently report those as 100% human.
The real lesson from all of this is that the vaunted European education systems are in fact terrible.
Net cooling is impossible but fortunately I don't live outside my house
Europeans allow smoking almost anywhere outside. They seem to think cigarette smoke completely dissipates outdoors without harming anyone.
But somehow they don't believe the same thing about heat.
Done being lectured by a continent so dumb they don’t believe in air conditioning.
(While their politicians laugh in air conditioned offices making policies denying their patrons air conditioning)
You might cool your own house with this so-called air conditioning. But you're not making the planet any colder. In fact, the surrounding houses get hotter from the heat you're putting on them. Then if they get air conditioning now your house heats up again.
Listen plonker, if I want to be confidently wrong about physics in my OWN BIN on the hottest day that we've ever had in England then I'm entitled to do so. You've got nothing to say now have you?
Europeans invented thermodynamics and now they claim it is a myth to own the Yanks? Embarrassing.
Europeans used to be good at science.
I've noticed that ...
"Ha Ha, Dude thinks ..."
... is never what Dude thinks.
When you live on an island you take heat sinks for granted. They don't understand the air being cooler because of the big pool of water vs being in a desert.
Complete rubbish. If we thought it doesnt work we wouldnt have Community systems in
Paris
Vienna
Geneva
Lyon
Barcelona
Marseille
and if we didnt believe they worked the Netherlands wouldnt buy as many units annually as Singapore
I mean net cooling *is* impossible. It's just they the point is moving heat from where am to a place where I'm not even if I generate more heat in the process. But that's unfortunately antisocial or sinful or something. Maybe racist, certainly "bad".
heat does float off into space at night, that's why the dew falls on things facing an open sky and not on things under cover.
Technically there's a grain of truth there (heat can't be destroyed, only moved, that's just physics).
More importantly, this is not "Europeans", this is one random idiot. I am sitting in my apartment in Prague, Czechia and enjoying cool A/C air while it's 36 °C (97 °F) outside.
What bullshit is this? You take a random account with 1500 followers, which are likely harvested as he himself follows 6000 and you say he speaks for all of us Europeans? Should I assume Americans literally believe in chemtrails being spread by planes?
It’s a combo of the cognitive dissonance required to justify just spending more and more time every year sitting in own home in uncomfortable heat + own govts telling them A/C is too inefficient/unworkable to justify not having to expand electrical grid.
I always have weird feeling when an adult is being confidently stupid about a thing which is supposedly common sense a kid understands.
Especially when that someone supposedly has much more bester than American education.
