The full quote was about not wanting to do “four more years of resistance nonsense under Donald Trump.” AOC was clearly referring to not wanting to have to protest against Trump rather than not wanting to push her own ideas and policies.

Anyone who has door-knocked for Dem GOTV has had the experience of ringing a doorbell, asking the man who answers if you can speak to the Democratic-registered woman on your list, and be told to go away because everyone in the house is a Republican.

imo the comedian thing is sticking because racial depolarization and education polarization means that a lot of Black/latino voters aren't offended by the same things that offended Black/latino activists, but you still can't like, outright call them slurs without consequence.
