people are rightfully upset about this atlantic story because it gets at a truly alarming issue: being added to large, ongoing group texts without consent

everything is just one big joke to you...if you work hard enough...maybe someday you will be the next Sam Stein
Any person with even a passing relationship with ethics, honesty, and integrity, when accidentally put on an email or text chain they know they shouldn’t be on, immediately notifies the group they were accidentally included and leaves the chain. I’ve done it several times myself.
I would just start chiming in. "JJ needs $10M in bitcoin for weapons for the Houthi arch rival Sunni group. Send to: bc1qxy2kgdygjrsqtzq2n0yrf2493p83kkfjhx0wlh"
And then, suddenly you realise how it is you're on *this* group chat (without consent), get the hell out, and break the story before anyone tries to.. what's the word? I'm sure there's a word.. before anyone tries to.. make inquiries. There. That's better than the other theory.
Absolutely beyond incompetence. “Conceivably, Waltz, by coordinating a national-security-related action over Signal, may have violated several provisions of the Espionage Act”
Not a joke. Gross incompetence. Matter of national security. But, sure joke.
You think this is funny? Is that your coping mechanism? Find something other than the country's national security to laugh about.

It’s very serious business obviously but I do think it’s very funny imaging how they all felt when they saw the “Jeffrey Goldberg has left the chat” notification
