Directionally not surprising at all, but the magnitude of the difference is more than I would have guessed. Maybe Dodge Rams should be sold with ignition interlocks?
A study in demographics. What do we learn from this? Minivans are driven by people likely to be cautious parents. Muscle pick up trucks, not so much.
At the same time women. 55 and over now binge drink more often than college aged males 18-22. That happened when the whole “wine tasting” thing provided cover
I think it is actually the other way round: if you have a drinking problem you are more likely to have/buy a Ram Alcoholics buy cars; cars don't induce alcoholism

demographic checks out the Dodge 2500 has the available diesel which is the trucks you often see modded with loud exhaust and lifted and pumping out smoke
More like people who are the most likely to get a DUI are also more more likely to buy a Ram pickup truck. Tesla should market to this crowd, as they offer the best way to avoid a DUI.
The magnitude surprises me, esp compared with something arguably in the same class like the Sierra. Wonder what the numbers are like with more direct competitors like the Ford F250 or Toyota Tundra.
Insurance rates should reflect all these data points. For ex: dodge chargers yearly premium should easily top 10k
I love this chart, but where's this data coming from? We can't get reliable national violent crime data, but I'm supposed to believe you have DUI data by carline? No way. Doesn't pass the sniff test.
Only a Dodge Ram driver will high beam you in the far right/slow lane of a 4 lane highway because they can’t get use it to pass everyone on the right.
This is the kind of police profiling I might be able to get in support of. Just maybe.
I have a DUI so I can only dunk so hard, but it’s quite telling that almost everyone getting DUIs is also buying giant pickup trucks
Note to self, take my wife’s Sienna not my Ram next time I plan to go out and drink and drive.
Seems like pickup trucks and fancy cars are overrepresented across the board for DUIs
