Neither the New York Times nor the Wall Street Journal have written about the historic achievement of Boom in building the first ever supersonic aircraft not backed by a government. The FT though wrote a story accompanied by a cool graphic:

i don't quite understand the point. Boom is cool. It's cool the FT ran something, but feels like no more than a judgement call
Global economic power is shifting back to Asia, led by China, India, and Indonesia:

The global economic center is shifting east. For much of history, the West reigned supreme. Europe and North America were the engines of economic growth, their industrial might and vast resources tipping the scales in their favor. The center of gravity hovered between these

There wasn’t even a sonic boom which seems to be primary concern of when I search for supersonic in the app. Have they laid off all the science and technology writers to cover historic test flights?

Good news but this is still decline. The Concorde was both faster and carried more people. This is the same story as the Saturn V from the 1960’s and 70’s to today’s NASA SLS. A weaker less capable successor version. Need Elon Musk to disrupt aviation with a “Starship” like

The Boom plane is going to cruise at a slower speed than the Concorde and its engines produce less thrust. Why have we gone backwards over 50 years?
So, 50 years later, your proposed achievement is to build an aircraft with lower cruising speed and less passenger capacity? Am I correct?

A thought-provoking trilogy on The Kennedy Files. This 3-part series exposes declassified information on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, unraveling the complex web of evidence surrounding that fateful day in 1963.

Live in Tehachapi and can confirm I didn’t hear anything! Normally do hear the occasional freight train hitting the house from the Air Force stuff.
What is really historic tho? Once it has been done once and the engineering is there to study its much easier to build on top of it.
This is ground breaking!!! Why in the world isn’t this the lead story in the news? Think about how this technology will allow us to travel so much quicker.
They're marxists. They will try to create a climate of depression and demoralization throughout the country until a marxist is back in power. The good news (Boom) will be toned down, the bad news (DeepSeek) amplified.
I think this should interest European Carriers a lot. We're not flying over Russia anytime soon, yet even with that going over the arctic could make 6-7 hour rides to China/Korea/Japan a reality.
Why they didn’t say, probably it’s accidental, however it’s better if you at least open Wiki to read the story, and you will understand that is at least 3 step back of technology allows! And if I remember correctly the first civil boom is by Scal-Composite with their spacecraft
That’s awesome, though the FT got the date of the first supersonic flight wrong. It was October 14, 1947. I know this because on October 14, 1997, on the 50th anniversary, Gen Chuck Yeager recreated that flight in an F-15 at EDW and took my USAFA ‘88 class ring with him.
Any chance in the final design that those engines will be placed above wing to continue the BOOM reduction felt on the ground?
I didn’t realize that their production aircraft design is the same length as Concorde, I thought it was going to be much smaller.
Got one up in Canada

it’s definitely cool, but the age of supersonic travel is over. no one needs to go anywhere that fast, at a premium. if it’s that urgent, zoom call.
Investors Business Daily and Scientific American should create "article storyboards" with HTML5 & CSS. Boom should create screensavers akin to what Apple OS X has for MacBook's as well.
So basically a disabled Concorde… Andthey are using turbofan cause RR didn’t think it was worth it to make them turbojets
