Of the world's 9 nuclear powers, four are now actively engaged in major conventional wars with peer adversaries.

Increase in geopolitical instability is directly tied to US withdrawal from the world stage. In the next 4 years, people will see that United States was the world police for a reason. When the policeman is no longer there to keep peace and order/diplomacy, shit breaks down.

The key to nuclear safety is nuclear proliferation. —@bhorowitz

And we haven’t yet seen what’s likely to happen next: rapid proliferation. U.S. guarantees are fading and countries like Japan, South Korea, the UAE and Saudi Arabia may decide that going nuclear isn’t reckless anymore.
I know this is meant as a fearmonger post, and most people will fall for it, but if in two years, they all reach relatively peaceful conclusions with only minimal conventional warfare employed than it bears out the nuclear weapon thesis
Thank you for your intellectual honesty. My next suggestion would be to research Kashmiri Pandits.

Really interesting to see how little Americans care about or understand the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan. No student protests. No Instagram posts. Nothing.
Remember when everyone wanted to see America diminished and the end of "hegemonic" pax America? Well they're going to get it, good and hard.
That seems to be torturing words. India-Pakistan are peers. Russia Ukraine are not peers. Israel-Iran is harder to calibrate. But, given their geographic locations, Israel is too far ahead of Iran to consider them peers. If they shared a border then maybe they would be peers
Sensationalist distortion. There's a greater chance of Trump going nuclear on the Mexican boarder than of Israel doing so in Gaza. (Hint: neither will happen!) Also, while Russia is engaged, there is very, very low chance they go nuclear. (Intentional by all involved parties.)
I thought you were referring to North Korea too since they’re technically involved in the war in Ukraine. So could be 10?
And if we include proxy and hybrid wars and anti terror ops then all 9 nuclear powers are engaged in some type of war right now
People need to understand that nuclear warheads are mushroom cloud equivalent of fleet in being. The only thing they do is moderate other nations' behavior around you. That is until a war of annihilation pops off. Then, the cost of using them is no longer too high.
On the other hand you have IMF fuelling the situation with $2.3 billion to keep the pot boiling? Irony right? Do spread the kind humble common sense to those apparent no stake in all this lot, ok?
Only two of these four are nuclear powers engaging each other, first time in history, in large scale direct warfare.
Curioso: tantas potencias nucleares en conflicto, pero la verdadera estabilidad vendría de invertir en infraestructuras energéticas robustas, no en arsenales cada vez más grandes.
I thought that Trumpie was going to be ending the Ukraine Russia war within the first week of his Presidency and end the Israel Gaza war. What happened? The world has never been more dangerous than it is today in a very very long time.
Should be 5 as NK has confirmed they sent and are sending soldiers to Ukraine along with supplies. Russia NK Israel Pakistan India
