What is the case for giving the CEO of TikTok a prominent seat at the inauguration? Even if you don't want to ban the app, why should the guy be honored? The only explanation I can think of is that this is an announcement that the administration is open to being corrupted.

The one good aspect of Trump Administration is he might keep the world more inline peacefully given all leaders have to do is say nice things about him. The Ceasefire Deal only happened because Bibi did not want to anger President Trump.

Another possibility is that it’s the incoming administration’s way of saying, “Look, we know the deal and will pretty much always defer to Israel, but here’s an example of how we’ll occasionally extend one toe off the reservation.” Each admin does this performatively
