What a terrible take… Sidewalk sheds are not a priority. The real priorities are things like housing, cost of living, fixing the budget, and actually learning how to manage NYCHA. Those are the issues that affect the city. But sure…sidewalk sheds must be the top concern for 8

Sidewalk sheds are an annoyance but they’re like issue # 254 on the list of what needs to be fixed in NYC. Picking at lownhandinf fruit is OK but it might be an indication in this case of unfocused policy seeing that we don’t have plans for any real fixes of major issues.

Still can't tell if this is honeymoon phase, seizing on prior admin policies through action, or something deeper: those in city hall in recent years did things only when they wanted to. Last one, if true, isn't great. Shouldn't have to wait a decade for this kind of competence.
