Healthcare provided to noncitizens in CA costs about $9 billion annually, excluding the the federally funded emergency room visits and pregnancy care which will cost an additional $1+billion. Meanwhile, the state of California is about $90 billion in debt..

Musk's mad about the bill because it increases the US debt. Pretty sure his solution would be more cuts to safety net programs--Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. Doubt he would suggest axing renewal of 2017 tax cuts which will greatly benefit him. Not inspiring.

The Orange dictator has started to threaten him about the contracts so we will see how long it takes for Musk to walk all of this back. He's not really looking out for anyone but him. Same with Orange.

Musk has seen enough to realize we need a new deal and the New Deal needed now is a political one: Installing a new party in the United States. Add seats to Senate and Congress and install a Third Party — that’s a real New Deal.
