This is partly right — the breaks were being applied in November/December of 2020 but the truck had a lot of momentum. Then came January 6 and the Georgia election results.

One of my unprovable/semi-crackpot theories is that the poll error in 2020 is part of what pushed the Biden Administration leftward. The idea that we were about to get a 2008/1932 result was something gained inertia that was hard to blunt when it didn’t materialize.

I drafted the field scripts for Warnock and Ossoff in that special election. They talked about protecting healthcare access, expanding credits for childcare, education, and raising the minimum wage. Bread and butter issues.
Biden was right to not apply the breaks on governing as a left Populist President. If we had done less the economy wouldve suffered and 2022 wouldve been a red wave. We saw what moderate ideas and actions led to ( Loss of VA in 2021 , a less good 2022 than was possible and a

Can you all stop. There is one main reason. OPEN BORDERS. That is it. Had he declared an emergency three years ago and gotten tough the Dems would have won. Biden should have gone with a Clintonian approach to immigration and appointed moderates to immigration posts.
