No. Despite the credentials of the unnamed writer, no airframe is "hundreds of times stronger" than it needs to be. The reason is simple: weight. An airframe that strong would not be flyable and could not carry passengers, luggage and fuel.

The quick-thinking passengers who intervened and the pilot who took over the controls are incredible. The plane easily could have gone into a death spiral, from which there could be no hope of return.
It wasn't even a pilot who recovered it from the dive. It was a random passenger that just pulled on the stick (he just told this to Netanyahua on camera).
It severely damaged the plane, but still, the frame resisted like nothing that I've seen before.
That is not a small, light fighter. That thing is tough as nails.
The pilot deserves all the free meals for life.
