Just spitballing here and it's definitely possible this is just spin from Harris. Somebody presumably has the receipts. But Biden's team also lied to him about the polls so maybe it was a bad idea for Harris to hire Biden's campaign chair.

One of the most fundamental mistakes she made was not bringing her own team in. Every campaign needs its own loyalists, not loyalists to the previous guy.

We talked about this in real-time, but she was in a crap spot having to either (a) take existing Biden infrastructure or (b) build her own from scratch on short-time *and* piss-off BidenWorld. It's a least-worst option spot, maybe she got it wrong, but def no good choice.

Go further : having a team of yes-men was a bad idea. Anyone trying to, had access to polls and averages showing a tight race and bad trend, especially on inflation. If I, a nobody, knew it, a candidate should have had one trusted person warning her.

As a side note: if she was "unable to breathe" when getting bad news, she was not cut out to be POTUS / commander in chief. I had many criticisms of Hillary but at least she had a spine.

This was Biden's clusterfuck. His actions landed Harris in a situation where there was only time for a makeshift campaign, leading to the highly undesirable choice to keep Biden campaign people in positions of power, because it was that or start from scratch.

Internal polls showed Biden losing even before the debate. Internal polls showed Harris losing before November. Everyone is, and has been, lying and ass covering. People who followed Rasmussen, Trafalgar, Atlas Intel, etc, knew the numbers the whole time.
