What is the "economic analysis" here? How are domestic jobs impacted by tariffs on foreign products? Or are you just connecting random data points with hysterical images of mass murder?
I think Trump knows tariffs are a big tax on Americans and American businesses, and he’s using tariffs to transfer wealth to those who are already wealthy. His public statements on tariffs are intentional gaslighting.
If tariffs are bad for the consumer, then so are sales tax, federal income tax, social security tax, etc....
Tariffs can work to induce domestic industry; but Trump admin did it as poorly as possible
A large federal injection via grants and other programs is needed. Foreign investment is inefficient
Un-targeted tariffs also serve no purpose but to cause excess economic strife

Regardless of what's good trade policy, who thinks manufacturing could spring up the first month?
A few months isn’t significant time to let tariffs show positive effects. Right now its just a knee jerk reaction to the announcement
Is there a way to speed up the trolley?
Asking on behalf of an unnamed tyrant I know.
Probably a foreign agent, other countries are always trade barriers thee and none for me.
Yeah, looks like america will be solving that peaky employment problem soon
I thought you people wanted corporations to pay more of their "fair share"?
Finding out our old manufacturing economy was on the backs of imported slavery, and subsequently ending that is… *checks notes* a bad thing?
Criticisms of tarrifs are correct, but Trump is selectively applying tarrifs and that changes everything.
78K. Automation's onboarding is just getting started.
so far trump has chickened out of almost every single tariff so idk what you're on
What they aren't telling you is the jobs lost were illegals being rightfully ejected from our country.
