The list in the OP here is objectively insane, but unfettered citizenship to anyone who is born on this soil is also insane. A rational immigration policy is needed. A free for all that makes citizenship somewhat meaningless is not the answer.

I'm a rightist & an IMMIGRANT, & the problem here is NOT immigrants. It is the erasure of the very notion of immigration, or naturalization or national identity. Any anti-American cretin can sneak across the border, have a kid & boom that kid (and soon the parent) are citizens.

I was a Democrat growing up my whole life and it could not be more clear to me that the Democrats are the ones throwing a tantrum. Democrats have called anyone wanting to have a rational talk about immigration in America racists or Nazis for at least a couple decades.

There are nuances to immigration, just as there are nuances to the solutions. The best solutions are rarely found at the extremes. They’re built in the middle, where reason outweighs rhetoric.

My issue is I am right leaning, and I think immigration is a real issue that needs to be seriously addressed. I’m also ashamed of all the political capital that’s been spent bellyaching over this ruling. We know it was going to turn out like this.
