I think I read elsewhere Matty that Netanyahu today got rid of all tariffs on US imports in order to avoid this result. I'll be interested to see if any other country caves in such a cowardly manner.
Well, either the tariffs are meant as a political tool, or an economic one. They went with the latter in their justification, so the formula yields what it does.

A tariff number doesn't mean anything if you don't buy anything from someone. North Korea could have 0% without any impact.
This reeks of an all-nighter to finish a 25 page economics paper. Just terrible work product optically and substantively.
