And Dems get no credit for the spending and jobs created in those Red areas that won't vote for Dems. Meanwhile Dems in blue areas then don't reap any benefits and their motivation to vote decreases.
It's kind of ironic about drill, baby, drill as California is one of the largest oil producers as well.

This is why I’m honestly happy Trump is screwing red states by denying them FEMA assistance. They deserve to get fucked by the person they put in office. I have no confidence at all that they’ll reconsider their position on the issue, but it’s still deserved AFAIC.

Why is the funding not set off against the taxes anyway? So e. g. 100m in taxes + 50m in funding = 50m in taxes has to be paid.
