We're going to beat climate change

NEW from us: current clean energy targets and trends enable China, India, and Indonesia to peak power sector emissions by 2030. This would be a global breakthrough given that these nations have been the largest growth markets for coal in the decade since the Paris Agreement.

8% of global CO2 emissions is produced by curing cement. It takes years for cars driving on a heavily trafficked stretch of freeway to produce more CO2 than the road itself. We need new construction materials yesterday. It's not just energy production.
Will climate folks acknowledge it?

You mean the US? For sure on that but the world continues to decarbonize and the long term outlook of +2.2C is one climate hawks would’ve been dancing in streets about 20 years ago dnv.com/energy-transit
First we need to understand it

We can't decide whether Net Zero is a good idea without first understanding climate, ice ages etc Climate scientists and activists say that temperature was constant before human CO2 emmissions took off (interpretation#1 ⬇️). But if you look at the raw data - including sea

Slowing down emissions is a big part of the battle, but we have to start sequestering carbon to stop the climate change already in process. We need to start planting lots of trees, restoring ecosystems and so on.
What does beating climate change look like to you? The oceans will cool down so hurricanes are less powerful? Regain their ph balance so coral reefs will regrow? More rain in California and Australia and fewer fires? Be specific and explain how it happens
We have the tech to obviate fossil fuels. Don’t underestimate the determination and deviousness of fossil fools to find ways to continue extraction. Market forces AND conscious decision to beat this are required.
AND, we're going to beat complete TFR collapse too .. the doomsday trend analyses and overwrought freakouts have a lot in common .. just different political constituents motivated by different, but also unrealistic, fears.
I thought that was obvious, no? Long term we are obviously gonna beat it, but the question is short term if we can mitigate enough of it to save the ecological environments from collapsing and bringing alot of human misery with them.
95% of the planet’s existence has been in greenhouse periods. Nobody is going to prevent the planet from returning to its natural state.
The human race will survive climate change, but we've already lost the war and can only try to minimise the damage. If we completely stopped adding greenhouse gases to the atmosphere now it would take centuries for the climate to return to "normal".
India has 99.7% electrified its railways. One of the biggest in the world. That alone is a huge feat. Look it up you'll be shell-shocked.
US has highest per capita carbon emissions and is responsible for climate change for last 100 years. US needs to stop burning any fossil fuel immediately.
No. You're going to claim to have beaten "climate change" when the current warming cycle ends and we enter the next period of cooling. In fact we will have spent trillions trying to influence the climate with literally zero effect. The cooling will be almost all natural. Sad.
I can never tell if you're serious with these posts, but we most certainly are not going to "beat climate change." Even under the rosiest scenarios there is going to be widespread disruption and suffering.
