Feel like if the Biden team had said this last fall she would have won — they were insanely unpopular and one of Harris’ weakest points was the belief that she was too tightly linked to Biden.

Wild. I figured her weakest point was that her entire campaign side stepped the democratic primary process because of Biden’s health. The DNC constantly fearmongers about democracy ending but I’ve witnessed multiple times now that they themselves don’t even respect democracy.
That and she had no real plans nor could she convey any if she had them.
Former Biden aides react by revealing (once again) how terrible they were at their jobs and why Biden admin should be a black spot on a staffers resume.
Exactly, this would have allowed her to confidently distance herself from the botched border policies and other areas it was clear she was given absolutely no control over whatsoever but had to cuff herself to
Belief? She was asked what she would do differently in the biggest softball ever handed to a candidate ever ever and said she would do nothing different.
Everyone seems to forget that from 2021-23, she literally couldn't manage the tiny VP staff. Now the Biden team confirms just how bad she really was as VP. You seem to forget that she was so incompetent that in early 21 she went on WV media to try and force Manchin's hand.
Most folks would probably say that she was able to be unpopular all by herself. Hell, she didn't even make it to Iowa in 2020. Ties to the Biden admin only made that worse.
Do you really believe that? It would’ve just made things worse for her. She’s a terrible candidate, that’s why she didn’t have substantial roles, because she’s just not a good operator and it was obvious to anyone watching.
This story is enjoyable because the stakes are so low. Harris' influence on future events is negligible and the Biden teams' is non-existent.
They should have picked DeSantis as VP and let him run the show with her as puppet. "but..." But they would have won.
We all suspected that she was involved in nothing and that wasn’t a positive for her campaign. She was a bad pick for veep and a bad pick to hand the campaign over to.
There was a lot of reporting/public perception that already reinforced this view and damaged her. The way a lot of people understood how a POTUS could be so inarticulate and obviously declining was that his VP was too risky an alternative, and he picked her for that very reason.
They never stopped hating her due to what she said during the primary debate and because they were the puppet masters of a half asleep zombie, she never got the grooming needed to be ready to take the riens. Two dysfunctional administrations in a row and somehow we endure.
Still a no. She’s the worst national level candidate with any chance that I’ve ever seen. She could talk herself into circles leaving anyone who wasn’t fawning over her confused as to how she would lead the country
The enraged folks are precisely the folks who are significantly responsible for destroying the Ds. Lots of mirror gazing is in order.
We really do owe an apology, because that post of that staffer is not the flex they thinks it is. And they did really give her a shitty “get out of the kitchen - and her some carrots to chop” portfolio
jOE’S TEAM INCLUDED KAMALA. If operatives didn’t understand *their* role in the party we need names. Dems need to vet “former advisors” who can be ruthless and out for themselves. 🤬💙🤬
Fuck do you mean 'belief'? She's quoted as having no difference in opinion from any of Biden's policies and he's quoted as instructing her to have 'no daylight' between her campaign and his image/legacy.
A black woman was not getting elected in this environment. Full stop. Biden sealed the loss by not having a mini primary at the convention.
Yep, if her boss, and the people around him made sure everyone knew how incompetent she was, and that they couldn’t trust her to do even the most simple task, that really would have helped her…

It was a bit of a problem for Kamala that the reason the Biden team had cut her out of any substantive role is that they had likely determined she was an incompetent lightweight.
The Biden team criticizing he would do nothing to change the fact that she was, at best, a middling candidate lacking the risk tolerance to win a tight campaign.
Doubt it would have made a difference. Biden handpicked her to be VP and then handpicked her to be the nominee when he withdrew. The rest of the party had no say in it whatsoever. She was a creation of Biden and everybody knew it.
