Exciting PlasticList update: We were honored to work with to identify and eliminate the sources of BPA contamination, and their teas are now BPA-free! They have fully transitioned to BPA-free receipt paper, which PlasticList confirmed to be BPA-free through independent lab testing. They have also switched to brown sugar in BPA-free packaging. We have been impressed with their commitment to get to the bottom of the issue and move fast to remove BPA from their supply chain. If you want healthy and delicious tea, I highly recommend Boba Guys!

Advice for Food Companies Since we launched PlasticList, we’ve been heartened to have quite a few food companies reach out and ask for help interpreting their results and tracking down and eliminating their contamination. I’ve had calls with a bunch of these. I am happy to

Glad to hear you are actively working with companies! What are your thoughts on fibers making up ~40% of MPs found in food samples from the study below? It seems likely these synthetic fibers originate from washing machines and textiles
im happy to hear that! me and my fam had a family reunion at boba guys last year 😂 their strawberry matcha latte drinks are goated 🐐

Respectfully, this below is the problem, not migration testing/accurate detection/supply line investigations. You have toxicological questions not chemical questions otherwise you just play chemical whack-a-mole and there are infinite chemicals.

Have you thought about adding a tab about why you wanted to do this? In specific, the current high quality medical research on how microplastics effects humans (or not)

The only news that's positive recently. Bubble tea is pervasive in East and Asia countries. They need to step-up now!
can you give a bit more detail on how the BPA went from receipt to product so we can understand what other businesses might have this issue? If on hands, was is from lids/straws they touched etc? thanks
There is a bit of scary implication here for people that handle BPA receipts all day? Should there be more awareness of this? Eg retail workers
They're still serving tea in plastic cups with plastic lids and plastic straws, and there are still microplastics leeching into their products. You don't need to endorse them just because they paid you.
There is nothing unusual about using those BPA leaking receipts and a brown sugar, yet there was extremely large amount of BPA in Boba drinks. Very odd.
I want a distribution of how long prolific boba guys customers will still have a lot of BPA in their systems. more than a year of safe BPA intake for one drink has got to stay in a while if you're the average SF student who drinks like 3 a week

Honestly so into Bryan Johnson. I got into it as a joke but after getting my data he did successfully gamify my health in my mind His whole thing is also an argument against the utter creative bankruptcy of most health branding
