More importantly, if you do in fact oppose that, the too broad sweeps, you could in fact speak against the admin policies/decisions which led to this. The only thing between us and complete insanity is non crazy Trump supporters (ie GOP members) speaking out.

On a scale of 1-10, it sounds like Trump is giving these people about 2 points of due process. I'd like to bump that up to 3, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I strongly support the end result, and Biden had the opportunity to do this the nice way. He didn't.

The presidency has taken on too many "emergency" powers. Now Trump has shown that naked lies will suffice as a pretext if invoking them is not subject to any external check. We need to curtail, or even strip away, these powers to preserve democracy and the Republic.

SCOTUS held that unlawful combatants being held by the US overseas have due process rights, yet Trump somehow believes that aliens that Biden permitted to lawfully enter have no due process rights and can be sent to a foreign prison. He’s going to lose.
