Misinformation is in fact a big challenge for Democrats, but the biggest element of the challenge is that progressive donors have spent a lot of money deliberately confusing Democrats about public opinion.

If you’re genuinely curious Gallup has been on this beat for decades. The main analytical error is that progressive institutions fund misleading polls for comms purposes and it has convinced their base that Dems are the problem instead of swing voters. news.gallup.com/poll/355838/am

Every Dem consultant in the testing industry should be forced to answer for advising their clients to run positive ads and ignore Trump’s incredibly bad record because it was “baked in.” Millions wasted again on a losing strategy. There’s no change more important.
4 heaven’s sake - everytime I hear “misinformation” I think true info. That term should b retired. Practically all covid “misinformation” turned out to be facts govt didn’t want u to know
I think Democrats would be better served if they define the problem not as misinformation but lack of information. Polls show that Trump did better among people who didn't follow the news and that's a good target group to try reaching.
I give credit to Republicans for marketing the idea that the economy is really bad and masking the possibility of how much worse life could get.
It's not the donors. It's ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NYT, WaPo, NPR, Hollywood, Academia, and government employees, some of whom are also donors, but all of whom have vastly outsized voices in media and culture and sit well to the left of normal Democrats, let alone the public at large.
Misinformation is a tool for politicians & activists. The only challenge for Democrats is maintaining an upper hand at promulgating misinformation. That’s why they’re so pissed at Musk for buying Twitter & reducing censorship.
