Modest proposal for tanking legalized gambling: Say you think gambling is a human right, pass laws blocking these companies from banning anyone, then let the sharks pick them dry so they go out of business

I have a friend who is a serious sports bettor who cannot get action from any legally registered book in his state. Literally each and every one has banned him, and even more interestingly, they had him banned from the start. *So they were tracking his illicit bets x.com/esaagar/status…

I love this, gambling companies are always lobbying for access to more customers. Ok, you can have online betting, but you have to take bets from everyone.
I really want this, but in all fairness it would definitely not shrink the industry at all. Some institutions already allow sharks to keep playing. You just hedge against them by shifting the odds to get bets on the other side so that you're not overexposed. If you're smart you

This is why I use illegal sports betting, I'm a professional bettor and I would get banned fast on legal bookies
We could force sports betting to be come a market similar to a prediction market and ban entities from both running a market and taking a position in it. Polymarket has sports contracts so I’m wondering if the banned bettors will just move there.
Here’s the thing: if you’re such a “serious sports bettor” that you’ve been banned from all legal sports books in the state, maybe the issue is that you’re a problem gambler and have an addiction, not that the books hate you cuz you “win” a lot.
Lose the 'gambling is a human right' bit but absolutely prohibit them from refusing bets by sharks. They (as a class) could survive this if they became 'exchanges' (prediction markets) instead of 'casinos'.
Was wondering today if we already had anti-discrimination laws that would prevent companies from banning customers. There is probably a group with disparate impact to. Jewish being my guess
Yes. Free markets only. No government bans on gambling and no limits or bans from books on winners. Absolute bullshit the books can basically steal $ from a state because they remove their own risk.
It should occur to gambling houses that there’s a reason it’s called gambling. Their choice to offer it is just as much of a gamble as it is for someone to participate in it.
Lmao wait the gambling apps are allowed to just ban people who are good at it? That means if you're a user of these apps, you're one of the losers they've let stay. What an incredible grift, uh, er, I mean legitimate business model, sign up with my code for $50 of free bets
