Israel created a fake pager company, years ago, anticipating that terrorist groups might switch from cell phones to pagers in the future. They made real pagers, and just waited for the right client to come around. Incredible foresight.

I'm not sure, but I would guess there aren't many pager companies left, and perhaps they were the only one selling in the Middle East. Perhaps they had multiple front companies, to make it LOOK like there were different options.
hey folks in my replies criticizing Israel = fine criticizing me = fine spreading antisemitic conspiracy theories = you're getting blocked and your reply hidden

I don't know what you're trying to say We have considerable evidence that China and the US have also modified equipment through the supply chain for espionage purposes Probably every other country that produces stuff, too
our whole web development process is based around blindly pulling huge dependency chains from the internet; unvendored, and hoping that versions never change once we might have inspected them. it's just the physical equivalent.
I’d like to point out that Israel’s tech industry has a lot of companies that make complex RF systems. Having consulted in the wireless ISP space, I’ve utilized equipment from multiple Israeli manufacturers. It would not have been a stretch for them to mfg pagers.

I really wonder if they subsidize the cost of producing the pagers just to make sure there was no competition for this kind of pager.
Do not under estimate the power of corruption. I do not subscribe to the idea that the customer just came around.

Indeed, an extraordinary accomplishment. Which prompts the question: where were these pagers on October 7 2023? Why couldn't they be employed to track and retrieve the hostages?
This is doubtful. I don't see anyone anticipating pager reuse three years ago. What do you do when you get a message? You have to pick up a cell phone and call back. In addition, the batteries laced with PETN is wrong I think. There's no way to link the battery to the message.

What is Bibi's magic, you ask yourselves? This is his magic. The people of Israel love him, and the Creator of the world loves him too.
