They just raised their series A round a week ago so they went from zero to splitting the atom entirely on their $19m seed.

Can’t wait to tell someone that one company split the atom for $19M so I don’t get why they’re raising half that for a software company.
There was a teenager a few decades ago who made a breeder reactor in his back yard. He had a lot less than $19 million.
Guess you didn't read “announced today that Valar Atomics’ NOVA Core has achieved zero-power criticality at LANL’s National Criticality Experiments Research Center (NCERC) at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS).” Valar hardware didn't split anything.
meanwhile some founders are busy raising money for a $50m valuation of their company of the back of an API launch, levels to this game

pff any asshole with a cheap lab can split the atom. let me know when they manage nuclear fusion
Pile 1 was just a kiln. This isn't rocket science here: put refined material into close proximity.

That's both a terrible and a timely analogy given that a CEO of one of the nuclear smr frauds came out last week as a quantum mechanics "denier". And absolutely nobody even noticed.
