Just so people are aware this is a Trump appointee (appointed 3 weeks ago) and Antonin Scalia clerk, who is quitting because Trump demanded that they corruptly dropped the charges against Eric Adams.

[Acting Deputy Attorney General] Bove said the order was not based on the strength of evidence in the case, but rather because it had been brought too close to Adams reelection campaign and was distracting from the mayorโ€™s efforts to assist in the Trump administrationโ€™s

After reading this part of the damning letter, I honestly believe Hochul is on VERY strong footing to remove Adams. And it may actually boost her struggling status as Governor. She really should reconsider her decision. Even said same thing on ๐Ÿค”

I mean, this is nice butโ€ฆ why even take this job? Anyone paying attention to the Adams case knew this was exactly what was going to happen if Trump won. Thatโ€™s the only thing about this thatโ€™s baffling.
These are the words of a lawyer with sterling credentials, a strong sense of integrity, and commitment to public service under the rule of law. He will be fine and will return someday.
Not quite. Sheโ€™s a career prosecutor who was hired during the Obama administration. Trump made her acting USA pending confirmation of his nominee.
Serious question, what did thus person think they were signing up for if not relentless corruption? Like thatโ€™s the job description
Scalia was a legal Copernicus who always had a mechanism handy to keep the stars gliding in their orbits in accordance with his ideology. His clerks are truer heirs than any of his successors and they will choose Newton over fraud.
She was forced to resign. Also it was the acting DOJ who told her to resign because she wasnโ€™t doing what she was told to do.
President Trump DID NOT appoint her. Sheโ€™s been in the Southern District of NY since 2016. Your post is misleading. Hopefully viewers can do a quick Google search
The move was heavy handed, but justified: Adams had been targetted by his own party, for daring to speak out vs lto immigrant situation. It was lawfare, of the sort President Trump has personalyl ahd a bellyful of. So, yeah.
Typical democrat logic. Illegal when Republicans do something. But lawful when democrats do something. That's why everyone hates democrats
So because he clerked for Scalia that makes him not corrupt. Please GFOH! Oh because someone worked somewhere you have to trust them. Thatโ€™s just means he is probably corrupt. I mean he had no problem working at SDNY when it was filing BS charges against Trump, but okay ๐Ÿ™„
Americanโ€™s are sick of the weaponization of DOJ lawfare. Cry all you want, this is because you all at the DOJ ent and jumbled the shark. No one trust you any longer. You have abused your powers repeatedly and we are done.
Couldn't this have just been a pardon? Biden dismissed predators, murderer and all kinds of criminals. Was that a problem in his view?
And no where in his resignation did he state that he was resigning because "Trump demanded" ANYTHING. Further, the President stated when asked that he had nothing to do with the dismissal. The charges were dismissed "with predjudice" which means...well, go look it up!
They work for the Attorney General. If the AG enters into a plea agreement, or an agreement to drop charges in the interest of cooperation in other, more important matters, the Deputy AG is obligated to follow instructions, resign or will be fired. It's always been this way.
Which is more important deporting illegal aliens than drain our economy and interfere in our elections or prosecuting a corrupt mayor? If you could only pick one what would be your priority?
A little over your skis maybe? Trump didnโ€™t demand anything. Sometimes people know things that you do not.
