Wild that Biden's ARP gave the Teamsters an unprecedented, massive, $80 billion bailout to their bankrupt pension fund, and they responded by endorsing Trump. I disagreed with the bailout, but why should any politician ever help the Teamsters again? foxbusiness.com/media/teamster

While working for Sen. Portman, I worked on the Teamsters pension issue for 2 years. They were extremely aggressive, portraying their pension bankruptcy as literally life & death for them. And Biden's $80 billion exceeded anything thought realistic. Wild to endorse Trump.
The chef's kiss is unions demanding that Biden give them pension bailouts, spending, tariffs, Buy America rules, tighter Davis-Bacon regs, etc - which are all inflationary - and then complaining that Democrats are out of touch on grocery and gas prices. That's some chutzpah.

As notes, Teamsters HQ was officially neutral - although their president spoke at the GOP convention and the local teamster branches generally endorsed, financed, and aided Trump over Harris. Functionally, it was a Trump endorsement that is remarkable after the bailout.
