The fact that the pivot of this video (around 10:30) analogizes egocentric data collection for robots to Tesla collecting FSD data makes me skeptical. Tesla fans talk about Tesla's data advantage constantly but Tesla is not the leading AV company!

The actual AV industry leader, Waymo, collected tens of millions of dollars of real-world data with safety drivers. That's analogous to real-world robot actions with human supervision/teleop. Robots might go another way but that's the obvious conclusion from this analogy.
