My brother is a software engineer that builds storefronts and helps western companies set up online stores. 90% of his job nowadays is fending off cyber attacks including DDOS, data scrubbing from Chinese companies, most notably bytedance.

Chinese students and workers alone cause $600 billion losses in intellectual property thievery. It's 30 TIMES loss compared to the little financial gain. How about we shut down Chinese F1 and H1B visas immediately?😑 We don't need spies and thieves.

2/ just because SA and China is worse - to an American, that lived here when this was a better country, we are not doing as well as we should be. Most Americans would be horrified if they really understood just how many civilians have been bombed with US weapons around the world

3/ As an American, Europe, SA, China etc are NOT the standard we measure the US with. The culture IS changing - it is not as good as it was. Many of us are upset with the increase in crime - the fact that the pols work for donors(many international) - and not us.

Cyber-espionage, hacking and spying is what the US does all over the world. Remember they were even caught listening on Angela Merkel's phone? Friend and foe, alike, are spied on. The US spies on everyone.

Does USA carry out any cyber espionage hacking and spying? Of course it does. In fact USA does much worst. It started riots in HK. It supports wars globally. Thats much more aggressive but dressed up and hidden by mass western media

1/ And the US is not hacking the rest of the world as well? We hosted international students for over 30 years, many Chinese - nice people - just as most Americans are nice people. What you don't get is the US government no longer represents the values of Americans.
