Ozimepic and related drugs are huge, huge deal. And you should be revising up your estimates as this evidence trickles out.

Candlestick charts stacked vertically to represent the estimated effect range of GLP-1 receptor agonists on odds of health outcomes, ordered by benefit to risk, on a range of hazard ratio. The charts are colored in blue if falling below the hazard ratio of 1 and in magenta if above 1. The chart lists over 20 health outcomes, starting from liver failure, psychotic disorders and liver cancer at the highest benefit. 9 of them are in magenta, with the two most severe being nausea and vomiting (around 2), and drug-induced acute pancreatitis (between 2 and 3). All the other magenta candlesticks were in the 1 to 1.5 range.

A lot of these come down to the danger of metabolic syndrome. Losing weight will help control your hypertension and diabetes, which will lower liver/kidney/heart disease, improve immune system (don't ask me how many feet I've seen amputated in diabetics).

I think we should use different mental model for visualising hazard ratios. Decreasing risk two times and increasing risk two times should appear symmetrical on the graph.
Ozempic is a miracle drug. The question is whether all these benefits are from ozempic or just a result of not being fat due to Ozempic.
That pancreatitis risk doesn't seem all that exciting. There seems to be a net benefit, but you could pick the wrong end of the straw as well.
