Right after DeepSeek shows China's tech rise, our FTC is taking testimony from Chinese competitors to build cases against American tech leaders. Literally doing China's industrial policy for them.

stopping PEPFAR is genuinely cruel and evil with no upside. a very cheap program that saves tens of millions of lives. it is a brainworm to see everything in the language of exploitation and the exploited and does not bring out the best in a culture
One thing that's forgotten in all the culture war fighting is that Donald Trump is uniquely incompetent at actually running the country. He didn't *PLAN* to shut down Medicare portals and stop paying the guys guarding ISIS prisoners. He's just stupid and bad at his job.

NEW -- #Trump's global aid freeze has cut the salaries paid to many of the prison & camp guards responsible for securing 9,500 #ISIS militants & ~40,000 associated women/kids in northeast #Syria. Many are no longer turning up for work.

im pro shoplifting from corporations that are evil but a reminder that target has a really good system for knowing that you're stealing and letting you do it until youve racked up enough to count as a higher charge and then they'll ruin your life
. used to do a bit about how the president’s powers are actually unlimited, subject only to a parliamentary vote of no-confidence through impeachment, and honestly it feels like less of a bit now
