Walz is a permitting reform champion: Last year, Minnesota passed a law mandating 100% clean electricity by 2040. But due to red tape, they were projected to miss the target by decades. So they passed permitting reform, which will cut overall project approval time by 50%.

YIMBYs to the white house! "We have permitting that takes too long...and prohibits or makes more expensive doing renewable energy projects. I think that same thing applies to housing. We put up barriers to making it more affordable." - Democratic VP Candidate Tim Walz x.com/Acosta/status/…

Governor Walz signed legislation last year directing code officials to legalize single stair, point access block apartments up to 75 by 2026. x.com/acosta/status/…
Minnesota will be lucky to be 100% by 2050 especially considering Xcel is dragging their feet with energy storage implementations right now. Existing Nuclear plants also need to be extended to 2050 for this goal to be reached.

Since they can accomplish this for their own pet projects, it means they have been deliberately slow walking everyone else. Thank you for pointing this disgusting behavior out.
So only cut regulations for your friends while you drive others out of business? That’s the Bail & Burn Harris & Walz campaign promise? “We’ll help you and destroy other Americans!” Got it.
is a progressive socialist pig who’s laundry list of crimes against the people of his state through the promotion of rioting, mutilating children, draconian mandates has turned the state into a clown show to the rest of the country.. straight piece of trash in human

So he cuts red tape for pet projects he supports, and has mandated apparently. How benevolent of him. 🙃
the funny thing is this was gonna be a huge win either way, shapiro also has completely revamped the permitting process in PA, just a complete party realignment on being better on this
We can HOLD the Senate in 2024, but we have to keep up the energy we had in 2022. Republicans are hitting Democrats hard since we won our razor thin majority, & we can’t afford to lose any ground.
Amazing.

He was a permitting reform champion before it became a limiter on “renewables” and was just used to throttle oil and gas projects, right? Right?
This will only work if we are talking about nuclear energy. Solar isn't an option in MN and there will never be enough windmills to carry the full load or the entire MN grid
The Senate majority is at stake in November, and we can't let Larry Hogan's disastrous record during his time as Maryland’s Governor go unnoticed. Can you donate $5, $10, or even just $1 to support Angela, who will champion Maryland families?
As long as the reform is not overly narrow, this is a great thing. But Walz also did this:

Red tape they created, and then 'solve the problem' by ignoring the regs. Imagine if nuclear generators could do the same- electricity prices would crater, and no more environmental destruction by subsidized contraptions covering the face of the earth.
Who knew? Republicans have been arguing against excessive regulation for decades. Excessive regulation holds back progress with no clear benefit!
This is quite the take on “fixing” a law that doesn’t permit most current economic activity to take place in 16 years
He also set up a snitching program where people could report their neighbors for “violating” his draconian Covid rules…
Cutting red tape is great. But Minnesota emits 0.27% of the world's co2. Them doing anything beyond national and international treaties and obligations is utterly pointless. And they aren't going to be carbon neutral by 2040 anyway.
there was no general reform. this was limited only to politically favored projects like "green energy". it does nothing to speed or de-cost private development. this is another example of a hypocritical two-tier system anathema to democracy
doesnt matter if he lets his state burn to the ground every time leftist media sensationalizes race relations
check out this clean energy

tim walz signed a law to allow government sterilizing your children against parents’ wishes
So, a state that has extreme cold is going to go all solar and wind? Do you plan on having way fewer people in the future?
Walz is a radical leftist fucktard that just sign gender mutilation child abuse against the parent's wishes into law. OK, groomer.
Nothing like glossing over his tyrannical mandate. lol! I can’t believe how dumb the average leftist really is. It’s either that or depravity
I wish more liberals were in favor of reducing regulations, red tape, and govt bureaucracy. Shrink the govt - they are not your friend.
