Happy 4th of July and 250th birthday to the United States of America from Scotland. Over half of the Declaration of Independence signers had Scottish roots,and the Scottish Enlightenment inspired America's emphasis on individual liberty and representative government. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙🤝🏻🇺🇸❤️

My grandfather came to the US from Scotland nearly a hundred years ago as twenty year old. A dozen years later he served his new country in WWII and was the most proud American I have ever known.

My love of soccer comes from my Scottish roots. Three generations, including myself, played in the Philadelphia area back when it was still a niche sport. I wish I could have partied with you in Boston. My nephew was there so I lived vicariously through him.

Love it! My Scottish great grandfathers were granite masons/carvers who emmigrated to the US and helped build the lovely buildings and statues around the country and towns. They immigrated legally and applied for citizenship. They worked hard to build this country and improve
