If anyone was wondering how much space is between the power button and the desk.
After seeing the M4 Mac mini in person, I don't mind it. It's so small that you almost just want to pick it up and hold it. It's just something you have to experience. Turn it on & forget about it.
Also, this was just a joke. I obviously don't recommend anyone doing this.
A few people have actually tried, and noticed increased temperatures and reduced performance.

I can't wait to see Apple selling the upside down stand for $399
Marc Charest, Specialized Compute Sr Program Manager dives into the #AIoptimized Azure VM series featuring #AMD ’s flagship MI300X GPU. What questions do you want answered?
Question: When I “shut down” my pc it just turns off. Do MACs not do that?
Nah, I 3D printed an attachment that makes it look like a frying pan.
Now I simply hold the handle and turn it around whenever I want to turn it on or off.
For this to work you need to reverse the fan, by rotation or blade angle, because thermodynamics
Heat rises and if you keep it from escaping it could be a problem
I noticed that upside down or on its side the thermal cooling suffered when gaming.
How many times does one typically use the power button on a Mac in a year?
For me it was 3 times, with 2 of those due to a power outage
Hmm, As I know people don't turn off the mac Mini eve I don't turn off MacBook only close the lid. As they are made for that.
you can tell it was designed to be placed like this as it can breathe now.

Oh didn't realise the button was at the back too!
They really don't want you to use it

Perhaps the power button is a retro nod to old computers with the power switch on the back:
They can give button anywhere on top, on sides but intentionally they have done this so next time they put on top and present as a major upgrade.
Btw, the device is affordable and best in this segment
How about giving this a try?
Yes, you are right!

I told a Japanese guy the same thing! He went out of his way to design an over-the-top 3D-printed lever to make it easier to ‘click’ the power switch. He said he uses the switch a lot, so he came up with this "solution."
Actually isn’t this better?
You allow heat to dissipate better and you can access the power button better
A Win
Why hide it? I think it’s cosmetic or minimalist, perfection cause. For Mac’s usually we power on via keyboard , power off or sleep via menu bar.
Important part is not to mess with the airflow so upside down is not the right way to do it. But it probably wouldn’t break.
The thermal architecture is designed based on the fact that heat rises. E.g., the power supply is placed above the CPU.
If the Mac mini is upside down, then the power supply would be BELOW the CPU, and its heat would constantly rise to heat up the CPU.
They will say you voided the warranty by using the device for long periods of time like that.
I wonder what this will do for the airflow / working temperature of the device.
