A really big (3-4x) positive update to GiveWell's estimate of the cost-effectiveness of GiveDirectly, largely driven by more optimism about positive spillovers. Seems like good news for the world! But I have a *lot* of spreadsheets to update. shorturl.at/yNr3E

any thoughts on how generalizable the multiplier is to other income-increasing interventions? Could spillovers help explain how why deworming income estimates so high from cluster RCT?
I would love to read a deeper dive into why there is such a massive discrepancy between the effectiveness of direct aid in the third world vs empirical measurements of basic income in first world countries. I have my ideas but I'd love to have someone serious study it.
there should just be a single google sheets cell where this number is stored and all spreadsheets that use this number can simply reference the cell and get automatically updated
