California booted Black and Native American people from the Amber Alert system, and established separate alert systems for them. Who thought that was a good idea?? Also..."Feather Alert"?? Seriously???
I legit thought this was a joke. There are separate "Amber Alerts" by race now, in at least CA. Natives get a "Feather Alert," and both groups seem to have been largely or wholly removed from the regular AA system. We've (gone) a long way (back), baby!

The respective groups wanted this because nobody was paying attention to black's and Native's Amber Alerts.
And how does this change things??

Hope that Desi Americans get a "dot alert" just to complete the trifecta

EXACTLY... It's like, I don't know them.

So ridiculous, heading straight back to “separate but equal” 🤦🏻‍♂️

Separate but equal.... *smh*

It's the weirdest thing I've ever heard. A premise that the masses don't care as much about blacks & natives as whites, Asians and Hispanics to start with. Therefore we will identify the missing as specifically black or native to heighten the likelihood of alerts being ignored?

I’m sure only a handful of people thought it was a good idea, but who was going to tell them no?
